School of Arts Launches International Student Exchange Activities to Help International Students Adapt to New Learning and New Life

In order to help international students of the School of Arts better adapt to campus life and actively engage in learning and research, School of Arts recently organized two international student exchange activities. The activities were chaired by Peng Xiaoxi, the vice dean of the school.

At the exchange meeting between new and old students, Peng Xiaoxi introduced the history, characteristics and discipline settings of the school, which gave international students a deeper understanding of School of Arts. Graduate and undergraduate students from seven countries including Russia, Turkmenistan, Vietnam and others gathered together and deepened their understanding and communication with each other through self-introduction, Q&A session, and free communication between new and old students.

At the new student symposium, Duan Xinyi, the head teacher of the international student class of the school, patiently answered the problems encountered by the new students in their study and life, gave suggestions on how to better adapt to the study abroad life, and also emphasized the daily study and life related matters.

In recent years, School of Arts has actively explored the art education of international students studying in China, and has cultivated a group of compound art talents with love of China and solid professionalism for the international community, especially the countries along the "Belt and Road". In the follow-up internationalization construction, School of Arts will further explore the training model of "knowing, befriending and loving China" for international students in the new era.
