On the morning of October 29, 2024, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Chongqing University and China Hong Kong Youth Orchestra and the awarding ceremony of the Education Practice Base were held in the Third Conference Room of the office building of the School of Arts. Wang Nuojun, Director of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Liaison Office in Chongqing, and He Yuxiang, Manager; Zhang Wenhao, Founding Chairman of China Hong Kong Youth Orchestra, and Zhang Yu, General Secretary; Zhang Zhiqing, Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of Chongqing University, Ye Lei, Deputy Director; Jiang Hualin, Party Secretary of the School of Arts of Chongqing University, Zhang Nanmu, Dean, Peng Xiaoxi, Vice Dean, Xiao Ling, Director of the Music Department, and Yu Siyan, Deputy Director; attended the signing and awarding ceremonies. Jiang Hualin presided over the relevant activities.
Zhang Zhiqing pointed out that the signing of the cooperation agreement between Chongqing University and China Hong Kong Youth Orchestra would help promote the cooperation between Chongqing University and China Hong Kong Youth Orchestra and expand the exchanges between Chongqing University and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Signing the agreement was just the beginning, and he looked forward to the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in areas such as teacher and student exchanges and artistic exchanges in the future.
Wang Nuojun said that since the current Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government took office, it had established a new cooperation mechanism with Chongqing, which was the first one between Hong Kong and a provincial or municipal region in the Chinese mainland. The Liaison Office of the Special Administrative Region Government in Chongqing attached great importance to the cooperation between Hong Kong and Chongqing, actively promoted exchanges in education, culture, art and among the youth groups, and was willing to provide support for the cooperation between Chongqing University and China Hong Kong Youth Orchestra and for further deepening the cooperation with relevant universities in Hong Kong.
Zhang Wenhao said that China Hong Kong Youth Orchestra looked forward to actively interacting with the School of Arts of Chongqing University, promoting the implementation of the cooperation agreement, continuously deepening the level of cooperation and expanding the scope of cooperation in the future, and was willing to help teachers and students of the Music Department of the School of Arts to exchange in Hong Kong.
Zhang Nanmu appreciated the substantial progress achieved in this cooperation through full communication between the two sides in a short period of time. The School of Arts would go all out to promote the cooperation with China Hong Kong Youth Orchestra and provide students with a broader art practice platform.
After the signing of the cooperation agreement, Zhang Wenhao and Zhang Nanmu awarded each other the plaques of "Education Practice Base".
After the awarding ceremony, China Hong Kong Youth Orchestra had in-depth exchanges with teachers and students of the Music Department in the Lecture Hall of the office building of the School of Arts.
