From July 19^th to 21^st, the Fifth Gulangyu Music Festival was grandly held on Gulangyu Island in Xiamen. Yu Siyan, a teacher from the School of Arts’ Music Department, collaborated with Russia artist Olga Kondina, the mezzo-soprano Tsarenko Zinaida, and pianist Boris Kondin to deliver two musical feasts to the audience.

Additionally, Yu Siyan, alongside foreign experts, provided a charitable music class for students passionate about vocal music.

In the context of the China-Russia Cultural Year, the successful organization of this music festival has built a bridge for cultural exchange between the two countries’ music scenes. Together, they expressed sincere wishes for the people of both nations through their songs, offering more opportunities for future artistic exchanges between the two countries and invigorating the development of their respective musical cultures.
